Update on Asher and the Bond family.

Asher is still pretty stable. He is still desperately in need of all of your prayers. The news is not a whole lot but they took a blood gas test while we were visiting with him today and they said the levels are looking good and that they are still waiting to see what his organs are going to do as far as recovery goes because when he crashed, his organs took a pretty big hit and we are praying that they fully recover. While praying, pray that his gut would be totally restored with absolutely no issues or dead sections. Pray that his liver and kidneys absolutely recover and that there be absolutely no brain damage at all.
He is a little puffy from retaining fluids

Here are some pics for you to help you pray and to see who you are praying for.

Erika stroking Asher's little head. He responds to our presence and touch.

Please pray for this little guy. It breaks my heart to see him this way. I just want him to be better so that we can take him home and he can be with his mother, little brother and myself.

Please send this link to anyone you feel will really pray for our son. I'm not trying to stir up a pity party... I'm trying to stir up prayer meetings. Shoot the e-mails we give out far and wide to get as many people as you can to pray and fast for this little man.

Erika also needs prayer. We are firm believers in breast feeding and Erika's milk came in the day Asher was rushed into the hospital, she is getting quite engorged and because of the situation with Asher's gut, he can't breastfeed or take any food into his stomach. That being the case Erika has been pumping every 2-3 hours to keep her milk from drying up and to get milk stores so that when Asher is able to get food, he will have his mother's milk to drink. We want him to be the healthiest he can possibly be during recovery. Erika has been having trouble getting all the milk out of her right breast and we really don't want to have issues with this on top of what we are already dealing with. So pray that Erika's milk would drop when she pumps. She is in a bit of pain right now because right now it isn't emptying completely on that side. We are working with one of our friends that is a very experienced lactation consultant as well as asking for prayer. We just need breakthrough as her milk is being let down when she goes to pump. So pray on these things.

I wanted to thank all of you for the encouragements and the intercessions that are being made for Asher around the world. It really blesses me to see the body of Christ respond to this crisis in the way that they have. Thank you to all of you that have sown financially into us during this time. So far we have had our room at the Ronald Mcdonald House taken care of by Erika's sister as well as many of you that have been very generous to us during this time. Thank you all so much. The reason I have the hope that I do is because God is good and you all are praying for us and supporting us. I love you all and I pray that God would bless you.
