ASHER:Alright, we underwent the long test to see how efficiently Asher's kidney's are functioning and emptying and they are doing GREAT! Asher likes to hold / stroke his nose when he is sucking on fingers or a paci. I just came back from Asher's first follow-up with the Neurologist and things are going better than expected. I took Asher to the ped today to have his finger looked at...and yup, now it is OFFICIAL. It is indeed crooked!!! Today's appointment went well. So far, Asher is doing very well, but we still don't know if he will need the follow up heart surgery or not. Today is Asher's follow up appointment with his cardiologist at the Congenital Heart Institute. I'm hoping to have more good news regarding his heart and that there will be no need for a follow up surgery! Asher was starting to level out a bit this afternoon compared to yesterday. It was really throwing him for a loop not having his methadone to curb the previous drug withdrawals and last night he was also in pain from his surgery, so he was fussy. Hello All,Just thought I would share some pics from today. We had a wonderful time with Asher before they took him in for his Cath procedure. We initially thought he was going in around 9am but they didn't come get him until 2:45pm. Matt's mom, Sue, came to wait with us and since I was sick (and didn't want to pass my germs to Asher) she got to hold him for hours!!! Much to her joy! Check

Asher is in surgery in the cath-lab right now.They are going to see about the pressure in his aorta. they are looking to see how bad it is in there. They are going to see if another surgery is dire and needs to be done as soon as Monday or as long as a month or maybe even not at all (please God!!!!!!!!!!!!). Please keep us in prayer. We still need it now more than ever.We will keep you

So Asher is going into the cath-lab tomorrow for some diagnostic stuff. He will be in need of your prayers. Pray that the surgery goes well and that the Dr.s come back with a good report. Other than that everything is as it has been the last few days with no really big monumental events or anything. "Momma Sue's" first time holding Asher in the Hospital.(Matt's Mom)News on AsherI had a great time with Asher though it was quite short for me because grandma (my mom) came to visit today and Erika and my Mom spent most of the day holding him. The time I got with him was amazing. I can so tell that he likes me!!!! It's so encouraging.They moved the swallow study back to a yet to be determined

Asher UpdateWe went to see Asher today and it was encouraging. He was so awake and full of life. I got to hold him and be with him for about an hour. We fell asleep together in the chair for a little while and I declared the Word of The Lord over Him speaking healing and wholeness over his body. God really Loves this boy and I am falling more and more in Love with Him as every day passes. He

First off, Asher is doing well. I couldn't see him today because of meetings and not having a baby sitter for Joel...but Erika's dad did get a chance to stop by and pray for him. Later in the day, my dear friend/spiritual mother stopped by to pray over him and read the word in his room. Lorraine even got a chance to hold him. I have a short blog excerpt tonight. After my mom and I got our FREE haircuts today at the Aveda Institute, we stopped in to see how Asher was doing. I didn't have a lot of time today because Matt needed the car for some errands, but I had to drop off some clean onsies and a little bed snuggly as well as pick up some more breast milk storage bottles. Ok...some updated news on Asher's condition. I spoke with the doctor tonight and had him clarify the news we received earlier because I was a little confused. Yesterday, Dr. Aldada was saying that a stint wouldn't work and Asher would most likely need another open heart surgery...and today they were saying they could take care of it in the Cath-lab next week. Okay, so I called the hospital a few minutes ago to get the skinny on Asher and came back with some promising news. They told me that they are going to watch him for this week to see what happens and then send him to the cath-lab to do the surgery from a major artery in his groin instead of opening him up again. That is promising and WAY better than having to have him go through open heart
